Front Spa Concierge “Please Don’t Ask the Obvious”

In walks a client and your front spa concierge might say one of the following:

  1. Hello, how are you today?
  2. Are you here for an appointment?
  3. Welcome to the spa where you can experience the magical cloud 9 massage.  What time is your appointment? 
  4. Are you having a service today?
  5. Can I help you with something?

Well, which questions above are the obvious?  Which question has the ability to create conversation?  You are welcoming someone into your spa, just like your home. 

If you invited someone to your home for dinner at 7:00, how would you open your door?  Would you open the door and say “Are you here for dinner?”  Would you say,”Can I help you with something?”  Hopefully, you would not ask the obvious questions to your dinner guests, the same should be for your spa guests. 

Work with your front spa concierges to not ask the obvious of your guests.  Create a signature welcome to your spa that includes a warm welcome, and that creates the start of an incredible experience and journey through your spa.  By not asking the obvious, you start making your experience unique, branded, and special.  Guests remember special.
